Biography

Yolane Kukla is one of Australia’s up and coming stars of the swimming pool.

At the age of just 14, Yolane announced herself onto swimming’s world stage by winning two silver medals at the 2010 Pan Pacific Championships in California and followed this up 2 months later by winning gold in the 50 metre freestyle at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Yolane also represented Australia at the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai where she made the semi-final of the 50m freestyle.

Strong performances in both freestyle and butterfly disciplines over the past 2 years have reinforced Yolane’s ability to match it on the world stage with her far more experienced competitors.

Yolane is currently focusing on qualifying for the London 2012 Olympics.
