SPEEDO BEACH SUMMER 2011 COLLECTION runway show

Rachael Finch, Eamon Sullivan and Sophie Van Den Akker graced the catwalk showcasing Speedo’s beachwear like never seen before. A range of limited edition Speedo Aquabumps women’s, men’s and kid’s swimwear made up an exciting capsule in the Speedo Beach Summer 2011 show.

Both born out of Bondi, Speedo and Aquabumps have a lot to thank the iconic beach for, so we decided to take Eugene Tan’s remarkable imagery of our brand’s spiritual home, and create a range of unique prints to apply to our swimwear.

With our first ever show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion festival Speedo showcased the Beach Fashion collection for Summer 2011. This was not the Speedo of old; the collection featured, sexy cuts and creative prints on bikini’s, one pieces and boardies.

The show was a phenomenal success, with a media frenzy applauding the show and it’s shining star Rachael Finch alongside Olympian Eamon Sullivan. The range has been applauded by the public and media alike.

WHILE the rest of us grappie with winter flab, the toned and taut bodies of Rachael Finch and two-time Olympic silver medallist Eamon Sullivan were a stark reminder yesterday that spring is around the corner.

Unveiling Speedo’s latest swimwear designs at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney, a bronzed and beautiful Finch made a triumphant first tripe down the catwalk since competing in the Miss Universe pageant 2009. The daily gym junkie said: “I’m a big believer in giving your body what it wants to be healthy, exercise, everything in moderation, but don’t deny yourself something if you really want it…”"

BUDGIE-SMUGGLERS were kept backstage at Speedo’s runway show at Sydney Fashion Festival yesterday, as male models did laps of the Town Hall in mid-length shorts and knee-skimming boardies.

The swimwear company chose to focus on its fashion line, sending out shorts with digital prints of beaches by photographer Eugene Tan on Olympic swimmer Eamon Sullivan.

Former Miss Universe Australia Rachael Finch modelled sunset print and floral bikinis."
