Starlight Super Swim Challenge 2022 powered by Speedo

How far could you go to be a Swim Super Hero?

The Starlight Super Swim Challenge is back and will be held from 1st through to 28th February 2022. Join a fundraising community of thousands as they attempt to beat their personal swimming goals, get fit in the New Year and replicate the success of this year's event, which raised more than $2,000,000!

Dive in as an individual, smash your laps as a team, or get your swim school involved. You'll get increasing Speedo fundraising rewards the further you go and the more you raise. Whether you’re a social, a serious or a pro swimmer, all participants are welcome.

4 easy steps to join the challenge:

  • Register now on
  • Complete the swim at a location of your choice – either a pool, a beach, a lake or a local swim centre
  • Record and save your laps on your profile from 1st February 2022
  • Share your performance and raise funds to support Captain Starlight and Starlight Express Rooms services nationally.

Powered by Speedo, join Team Speedo athletes, former professional athletes and proud Starlight ambassadors, Tokyo Olympic Gold Medallist Zac Stubblety-Cook, Brooke Hanson OAM and legendary Mick Fanning, to get active for a good cause.

"Starlight has a special place in my heart as its supported my family during some extremely tough days in hospital," said Brooke Hanson OAM.

"Whether it's just a hand on your shoulder to say 'it's okay', or having a cup of tea in the Starlight Express Room, it really does makes a difference and I've witnessed it firsthand."

"So, this February I encourage you to grab your Speedos and join me for this year's Super Swim. Together we can make a difference for sick kids and their families."

Aiming to raise over $3 million in 2022, the funds from Australia's favourite virtual swim challenge will go towards delivering happiness to over 76,000 kids across Australia.

Throughout the challenge, participants will be supported with fundraising and training tips, and will be rewarded for their fundraising efforts with branded merchandise and other prize incentives - including Speedo equipment and accessories.

Registrations are now open and will continue through to February 2022, with participants able to complete their swim challenge anytime throughout the 1st to 24th February timeframe.

Simply set up a free profile, start fundraising and go the distance this new year - the bigger the splash, the bigger the impact.

Every minute of every day a child is admitted to hospital in Australia. What comes next for thousands of children is a lifechanging diagnosis - many facing months on end of treatment and hospital stays.

Starlight CEO Louise Baxter said: "Starlight has been there for sick kids throughout the challenges of the past two years. Only with the help of the community can we continue to be there for sick kids when they need it most.

"Every dollar spent on our vital services must first be raised by the generosity of the community. As little as $39 will give a sick child access to our vital hospital services.

"With your support, we can ensure every seriously ill child has access to the happiness that is so essential to their health and wellbeing. Why? Because happiness matters," she added.
