Zach King

Zach started club surf life saving at age 13 after moving to Currumbin on the Gold Coast, starting his career with the Currumbin Vikings and then later joining the Burleigh SLSC.

In 2018, Zach won the QLD State Surf race and IronMan, the Australian Surf Life Savinh Championship Race and placed 2nd in the Ironman, securing his spot representing the QLD youth team.

In 2019, Zach came away from State Titles with 3 gold medals, along with a 3rd in the Australian IronMan and captained the QLD youth team.

In 2020, with events such as State and Australian Titles being cancelled as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, Zach still had a successful individual and team season, with wins and podiums at events such as Oceans 38 and the Summer of Surf, eventually finishing the shortened season with a second in the u17 Shannon Eckstein Classic.

Despite dealing with injuries at the beginning of the 2020/21 season, Zach remains focused on the upcoming State and Australian titles, with the goals of winning the u17 ski, swim and iron races.
