Clyde Lewis

Clyde Lewis has been a competitive swimmer since he was 8 years old. Always being technically good with a great aerobic capacity, hard work eventually paid off in 2015 when he broke into the Junior International stage and became the Junior World Champion in the 200m IM. He went on that year to win five gold, a silver, and a bronze at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa.

Since then, it has been onwards an upwards having been crowned Australian Champion 3 years in a row in the 200m IM. His first senior International was the World SC Championships in 2016 followed by a World Championship berth in 2017 where he finished 11th in the 200m IM and 4th in the 4x200m Freestyle relay.

Known for his 100% gutsy effort in every race he does, his post-race interviews are always worth watching as you become exhausted with him.

Aiming for the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the 2024 Olympics as major goals, he is achieving his short-term goals along the way namely a Gold medal in the 400 IM at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast and Freestyle Relay Medals in the 2019 World Championships.
